Virat Kohli in tough training for 71st century
Virat Kohli has taken a break after India's miserable defeats in the T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli is scheduled to play in the second Test against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium from December 3 to 7. Kohli, who is currently in Mumbai, has asked the BCCI to arrange his training with Cricket Club India to prepare for the Test match. The BCCI immediately arranged for this.
Former India all-rounder and former India batting coach Sanjay Bunker accompanied the goalie in training. Sanjay Bunker was recently appointed as the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Goalie and Bunker were on good terms when he was the Indian batting coach.
Virat Kohli batting has been poor in recent times. He scored only 218 runs in four Tests at an average of 31.14 on the England tour. So now Sanjay is strengthening his batting along with the bunker. The goalie is said to be engaged in rigorous training against both speed and spin.
Having not scored a Test century since last November 2019, fans have been waiting for Kohli to score a big century at Wankhede Stadium. Kohli scored a double hundred (235) when India last played Test here five years ago.
